But what a weird, sick world where people buy things they don't need and never even wear!! How can that kind of fashion consumption ever be sustainable or work in terms of the planet... the whole system needs a massive rethink! So glad you are lending your considerable voice to that!

I've been thinking about this, does it include presents? It would make a really great challenge to pair with a charity like the Second Hand September Oxfam does. Nice column, good work. Now I've got it in my head, I can't unknow it and go blitz Zara

Love this tiff, reckon it's about reusing and restyling what we already have and lots of Vintage/second hand. I wanted a black sweater dress and looked at a few in the shops, then found a perfect pre-loved one in a charity shop for £7, which was not only miles cheaper but just as good and not costing the planet. My kids are all already doing this, they are constantly on Depop, etc, hardly ever buy anything new. Grown ups need to follow suit.
